I've noticed recently that after going for a long walk, when you get home and take your shoes off, that is when your toes crack the worst.

I think its because they're "itching" to crack after that long walk. Interestingly, during my walk I was kinda trying to crack them in my shoes (as its a habit) but obviously because of the lack of space they can't crack properly.

It's just really annoying though, I forgot about them towards the end of the walk, but as soon as I took my shoes off and starting going upstairs- CLICK CLICK CLICK 😢

On contraire to me. I find that after doing like 800m at school, when toes are sweaty that it is so much harder to crack and i usually cba as i am tired, thirsty, and i need to get to showers quick before others and get ready in a short time.
