Concentration

  • I used to be such an avid reader, I would sometimes read 5 or 6 books on the go.
However since my neck started cracking after i got punched in the back, I always get distracted when I look down to read and my neck cracks.
This means I can never read like I used to.

Any ideas how to beat this?

  • Read lying down? Get one of those music stands like they use in the orchestra to hold your book up high?

music stand one sounds a bit odd but is a good idea i guess if i get desperate.
and yeah i've tried lying down, doesn't help because as soon as i get up i crack so i lose that good feeling you get when you've been reading instantly :x

  • When i was younger and had to go to bed at like 7 i used to read for like 3/4 hours and still read a lot but not as much.

  • Is your not reading so much related to cracking Blaze?

  • I have a lot of trouble with reading and finding a comfortable position.

In bed: I'll start with my legs crossed looking down, then sprawled out belly down looking toward the book, finally I'll end up laying back and reading the book while holding it up above me.

In a chair: I have to constantly pop my knees as I use them to hold the book up, if I use a footstool my legs fall asleep.

On a sofa, pretty much the problems of a chair + bed + coffee table is too low to read a book off of. All I have to say is stick to it, I will often crack my next every 3-5 pages, and I read pretty quickly. I also have a problem with slouching–which makes me crack my back a lot, while not slouching causes back pain.

  • For anyone.

Everyone gets aches and pains when in an unusal position for a long length of time.
