I am able to snap my index finger repeatedly. This involves pushing downwards and to the side, making it snap. I don't need to wait for it to be recracked. This, with the normal cracking has made my finger very flexible, and I can push it down to reach the palm of my hand. I think the joint has got a little swollen as well. 8O

Which way do you crack your knuckles? I push my middle ones backwards and my index finger on my left hand forwards.

I hold mine firmly and pulll… It's more reliable, I find. Have you guys noticed that temperature can affect how much you can crack your joints? Or at least, I think so.

 without a doubt
On cold canoing trips, i'll spend upwards of five minutes trying to force my thumbs to crackAlso, cracking defintely warms my hands up.

Yes i have noticed this - cold means more cracking. And to the previous person - when it is colder, it is sometimes harder to get the crack that you try so hard to get.
