I recently figured out how to pop my sacrum (more or less the tail bone). Very amazing. Just put my hands on my hips and lean back while pushing my stomach out and exhale (don't know why but it almost never works without a big exhale!)

I also really like to pop my sternum. Once in awhile I can do it by puffing out my chest, but it usually happens on accident once a day or so. Anyone know how to pop their sternum consistently?

I just lean forward while pushing the elbows back more behind me so the chest is pushed out.

I popped my tail bone one time, and I didn't mean to. I wiped out in 1st grade math. That was more of an injury that a voluntary adjustment.

As far as my sternum goes, it is tricky and is a result of another injury. I drop my right shoulder and push it forward while I pull my left back and up. I have to put the left shoulder back and right one forward. It just doesn't work the other way.

I also have recently noticed my sternum cracking - it is the oddest, yet most interesting, feeling. I figured other people have this happen, and was surprised when people looked at me strangely when I would ask them. I was so glad to find this site to learn that others have had this happen! When I arch my back backwards, my chest, between the breast area, just pops. I don't know what this is, or why it happens, but it gives a feeling of relief like a back popping or my knuckles popping. Very weird.

I crack my sacrum just by flexing my butt. Seriously.

Can't crack my sternum so well, but i can crack my clavicles.

I can also crack my sacrum by flexing my butt. I have to be sitting and using good posture for it to work. My sternum also pops, but only does so on occasion and by accident. The sacrum is my favorite though.

No contest. Sternum is the most satisfying. But it is also the most difficult to crack.

My sternum just started popping about a week ago and I can't figure out why. A kind of pressure builds up in it and if I puff my chest out, it sometimes pops and relieves it. Sometimes it just is a little uncomfortable.

Do any of you other sternum guys have any discomfort associated with your sternum popping?

I've talked to a bunch of my friends about it and they all think it's weird. A nursing student friend of mine was baffled when I described it to her and then startled when a few minutes later, it actually happened. It's kinda cool, I guess...

I know what you mean when cracking the sacrum feels heavenly. I can crack mine sometimes (rarely) when I lay on my back, and put pressure on my tailbone. It is the most relieving crack I've found.

I can defiantly crack my sternum along with my ribs by leaning to the side and slightly forward. It doesn't necessarily feel good or bad.

As for the sacrum, happens at Pilates.

I can do it! I just force my shoulderblades together by putting my arms back as far as I can, and then lean back at the waist.
