Guys, I'm new here and I registered to ask this one question. It freaks me out lol. My thumb (mainly right, the left is devloping), is like a plateau now. When I bend it to the cracking position, the top part of it just goes flat. Normally, it would be like a point. Mine goes flat. Anybody else has this? My left thumb is devoloping that, you can see that its going down as well.

i would help you, but i sort of dont know exactly what you mean haha; do you mean when you push your thumb down the joint closest to your hand (the proximal joint) becomes flat ?

Does it hurt or are there any mobility problems with your thumb? If not, you may not need to worry, but it may not be a bad idea to see a doctor to see if anything funny is going on.

It doesn't hurt, just looks really weird. It's because I cracked my thumb alot. Did this happen to you guys?

my proximal joint becomes pretty 'flat' when i push my thumb down, but it doesnt become completely flat- i mean, i can still see the bones pop out from around the proximal joint-socket.
i dont think its a big deal, but like conscentity said, i think that if it starts to hurt when you move it/try to crack it, then i would suggest seeing a doctor<3

I heard alot of finger bending and twisting isn't very good for the ligaments.
Pulling is ok though?

How do you know it is because of your cracking?
