Maybe medication which rebuilds joint cartilage can alleviate joint cracking symptoms.

I once tried Triple Strength Osteo Bi-Flex based on a Glucosamine Chondroitin complex for about 2 months.

Here is a description of a similar product which motivated me to give this a try:

TripleFlex™ from Nature Made® combines the powerful benefits of Glucosamine, Chondroitin plus MSM in one convenient maximum strength formula.
Cartilage rebuilding and regeneration is a normal function of the body. During your lifetime, joint cartilage begins to break down due to physical stress and aging, making even everyday activities like walking difficult to perform. That's why it's essential to maintain healthy levels of the nutrients which promote joint health and mobility.
Triple Strenght TripleFlex is specially formulated to provide the nutrients your joints need to promote flexibility, joint comfort and an active lifestyle. For Arthritis.
Glucosamine A natural building block of healthy cartilage. Studies show it may help repair and maintain cartilage and stimulate growth of cartilage cells.
Chondroitin Helps to maintain the natural lubricating fluid in joints and cartilage.
MSM (Methyl Sulfonyl Methane) A natural source of dietary sulfur. Sulfur plays an especially critical role in maintaining the elasticity and flexibility of the connective tissue that make up joints.
TripleFlex™, for all your joints - hands, wrists, knees, back, neck, hip, ankles and feet.

I didn't notice any effects out of the ordinary whatsoever. However, it is likely my patience trying these products was too thin.

Maybe someone else did try these products a little while longer?

Iwas tempted to try a glucosamine product but never got round to it - might actually go and do it now seeing as I am not the only one!

Welcome Stro!

Could you please elaborate? Do you mean Human Growth Hormone? If so, what exactly did you hear about that regarding our little endeavor?

Well, there is a load of controversy around HGH (yes human growth harmone) But my parents take it, and they say it helps them feel younger and perky all of that. I looked into it, and it really says nothing about joint pain or lubrication, just that it sheds bodyfat, cleans up skin, resupplies elder bodies with synthetic harmones that are lacking in growth harmone levels, and apparently densifies muscle tone.

For those with super cracky backs that seem to have genetically ergonomic problems, I highly reccomend hot showers, and then tigerbalm topically thereafter. Wink

I know 2 people who have tried glucosamine for over a year to help with knee problems. It did absolutely nothing for them.
