I'm new on here, so for the purposes of introduction I can crack all joints in my hands, my neck, big toes, but my outright favorite has always been my jaw. It only ever works on the right hand side, and I achieve it by tensing and moving the lower half slighlty inwards very quickly.
I often describe the feeling as being like a thousand sewing needles bursting outwards from within the cartiledge in a split second, and produces a very sharp sound which is unlike any standard crack I have ever experienced.
Anyone else have experience of this? Wink

I can only do the right side too. I sometimes have to use a small hammer to get it to crack. And i can do it repeatedly by tensing up the jaw muscle. I only got the left side to crack only a few times in my life.

I have no idea how to do this and it sounds satisfying. The only worries i have is that if it is indeed immensly satisfying, the damage you could be possibly doing. If you do in fact get arthritis in your jaw, the daily irritation you would face would overcome the few briefs or minutes of satisfaction.

i've heard similar stories, although cracking my neck after it has been hassling me (by involuntarily cracking all day!) beats everything!!!

Cracking my jaw right now. Been able to do this for about 15 years, amazingly only on the rhs. was painful at first, my dentist wanted to take my wisdom teeth out but I told him where to go.

Not painful now and my jaw cracks on demand and every now and then by itself. Very loud, very wierd, and very satisfying.

I love clicking my jaw, it really is difficult to explain the feeling.

And the noise it makes, it practically echoes around the room!!

I can get cracks in both sides of my jaw...all I do is push on the side of my jawbone and it cracks just like a knuckle, quite loudly actually. The left side cracks the loudest by far but the right side sometimes pops 2 or three times. This is by far my favorite thing on my body to crack.

It is definetely synovial cavitation and not grinding because I can only get it to crack about every half hour or so.
