Hey all I'm a crack addict. I can crack my neck, sternum, back, hips, ankles, fingers, and toes. I've been doing it for some years now...and actually I'm not sure the exact number but I know its been at least 4. I was just scanning other posts and saw how OCD is a common undercurrent here. I also have to count the number of lanes on the road everytime I'm driving and the number of streetlights. I fidget alot in class basically but its not uncontrollable. I have alot of anxiety, mostly from public speaking. Oh and I tried to quit once but it only worked for 2 weeks. Help meeeee. Do I have OCD??? Confused

So I'm probably not OCD, but anyway. Is there anyone out there who has actually quit for good?? And if so how long did it take to lose the urge?

I'm pretty sure it's impossible to fully quit, because you can always "accidently" crack. Also it seems my joint get extremely stiff, and I pen spin so I always crack after i do some spins Razz

I'm not against accidental cracking. I just hate doing it 20 times an hour. It gets really annoying and I feel like a drug addict who has to get his fix.

I love martial arts, and the flexibility that goes along with it/is required.
I've been punched and kicked hundreds of times in various places on my body and I 100% believe that none of those blows is the reason why a some of my joints crack. My joints crack because I'm flexible. It's kinda like brushing off noisy cobwebs when I stretch, awakening my body. The cracking is not sore, and in fact once I have cracked I can stretch further/my range of motion increases.
