Im currently 25 and needed to post this somewhere since no one has ever been able to help me. Im a work professional and dont do have any bad habits and also very active in sports.

My problem is I havent slept in 3 days. All I have done for the last 3 nights is crack my shoulders, neck, fingers, wrist and legs. This isnt the first time this happens Ive done it my whole life. It always wakes my up and makes me really uncomfortable in the morning.

Now that Im older it is severly effecting my every day life.

Someone please HELP! Any insight or how to deal with it. Ive asked my doctors, nothing, ive googled, and this is the closest place Ive gotten.

Thanks in advance.

Well...maybe you can set aside a special time before you go to bed where you can go through cracking all your joints and then make a routine so you wake up and do the same. Maybe start with a short amount of time then longer?

Interesting idea, except I hate cracking my body. It hurts and its annoying. It makes my body ache and doesnt give me any good sensation.

It just seems that I cannot have a decent nights sleep, I need to get rid of it.

hi, sorry to hear about your problem, i can kinda associate to it actually.

does your cracking happen involuntarily/automatically then? mine does, in fact my neck just made a weird crack as i type this Mad
and my neck and toes cracking automatically can wake me up to, so you're not alone mate Wink

have you had an injury recently which has made your cracking worse?
ever since i got punched in the back i have had a back neck, maybe you had an injury recently?

Ok well how did you first crack?

Maybe crack and then do something you like that doesn't require much effort.

Or....crack then have a bath and something.

I first want to say thanks for the replys.

I dont know how I first started this all. But its like when I sleep my body needs to crack itself, like ill mix my body up into all kinds of positions to crack it. Ill shove my arms under my pillows to crack my shoulders, then my wrists and usually my fingers. I move my legs all the time.

Today im sore, like dont want to move sore, because I havent slept and my body has been active.

I havent had an injury ever (knock on wood) Im healthy as can be. Ive tried the bath thing, didnt really work. It doesnt happen every night in which i cannot sleep but it does happen every night at some point. I dont think i can remember a good nights sleep ever.

Ok well maybe you have a partner who could give you a massage on the most affected areas.

If not, maybe try some kind of physiotherapist (NOT CHIROPRACTOR!)?

Hmmmm interesting - did you go to a chiropractor before or after?

They get rid of aches/strains etc.

Ok well maybe get a massage then see what happens?

Yeah the chiropractor made it feel good for a little bit but just made it sore. Didnt stop my sleeping habits.

Are there known doctors on this site, and I cannot believe Im the only one in the world that has this.

I NEED SLEEP! haha.

Chiropractors are hustlers! Jeez if one came on here there would be arguments.

What stressful things are there in your everyday routine.

Stress lately. Just the normal work stress. Relationship problems, I mean nothing out the norm.

Like Ive said its been going on forever, and not really one thing or another triggers it, other wise id cut that out.

Like even now I have to move my wrists and they crack like an acordian, and I hate it, but its like I have to do it.

Maybe hypnosis. haha, im really reaching now.

I thought you were single - or family i guess.

Hypnosis worked on some person to stop their fear of flights - someone famous but i can't remember who.
