When standing, if I try and stretch my neck upwards/assume a "smart" posture, my neck makes an interesting pop.
Anyone else experienced this?

Nope. If I sit up straight and slowly look down while pulling my shoulders back I can get a pop in my upper vertebra area that feels like the joints are begin gently tugged apart. It feels really good.
