In reply to http://www.jointcrackers.com/ftopict-37.html:

I can crack my ankles pretty much nonstop with no refactory period at all. It is kinda weird.

Well, how do I do it? That's not a question I get asked often. Smile
Usually, I simply relax the ankle muscles and rotate the joint in big circles. This will do it.

I just experimented a bit to bring techniques into consciousness which do fire everytime with a loud clicking sound:

I will use the left foot for orientation on technique 1
- flex muscles and strongly curve foot inwards as far as possible toes pointing far to the left
- keeping that pressure slowly move foot in a counter-clockwise circle until it cracks

I will use the right foot for orientation on technique 2
- flex muscles and strongly pull toes to your body
- keeping that pressure on the ankles base slowly move the the tip of the foot from left to right back and forth

Of course in both cases the foot should be lifted from the floor.

Hope this makes sense.

I'm not sure if what I do with my ankle is actually "cracking"... I'm not a joint cracking expert or anything. I think what I do is kind-of just like shift the ankle... like the part of the ankle bone that juts out... only with my right one though. all i have to do is move it just a little bit and it creeps people out. Do you know anything about this... shifting?? And what exactly is going on when I do it?? If you're having trouble understand what I mean I might be able to elaborate more, but for now ... yeah.

I can crack my ankle on my right leg non stop as well in pretty much the exact way you describe by rotating it in circles. I only have been able to do it though since I broke it years ago in high school and had to have surgery on it. My other ankle I have never been able to crack.

Please do elaborate more! I think by shifting you mean minimal dislocations? I believe I do or rather have done similar stuff with my ankles.

I can crack my right ankle 8-12 times in a row, but only the first crack makes a loud noise. What's more, I can crack both ankles in three places.... my heel area (by moving the foot down), between my heel area and the actual ankle (move foot up) and the ankle (turn the foot onto its side)

I crack my ankles probably once every 1-2 days. I usually have shoes on when I do it. I can just be sitting down and then if the ankles are feeling stiff or too loose (probably because they're sprained or just "went out") I just point the feet so only the toes are touching the ground and push up with the heels. This pushes the ankles "up" and away from the body as the weight is solely on the toe tips. The ankles then pop. I can also do this when standing up, just by putting one leg's toe tip on the ground and doing the same thing, so the ankle pushes away. I find this helps if I hurt my ankles running in the outfield. It's like it puts pressure on the ankle and tightens up the joint, so injuries don't come from a loosened doublejointed ankle that's loosening up almost to the point of injury.

I pop my ankles whenever I can, but I can only get a series of pops about every hour.

i think mine does this as well; im pretty sure this person means shifting the joints out of the socket.
how i do this is by pressing the ball of my foot firmly on the ground and then moving my ankle clockwise and then counter clockwise, it usually cracks a few times first and then does this 'shifting'/popping out of the socket thing; its kind of a weird feeling<3
